The Citadelle de Saint-Tropez was built in 1602 to defend against Spain. The citadelle can be reached following the street near the tourist information office at the port. Winding through the city streets until you reach a steep hill with signs pointing the way. There is a small charge to enter. The views are outstanding. There is a maritime museum in the dungeon.
