Ride this fully restored vintage train. Opened in 1912 the railroad linked the copper smelter at Clarkdale and the copper mines at Jerome to the Santa Fe Railway.

Engine 1510 built in 1953 for the Alaska Railroad. The Bald Eagle design was painted by wildlife artist Doug Allen.

The land on either side of Verde River is a riparian zone which is rare Arizona.

The Verde Canyon Railroad has a depot, railway museum, gift shop and cafe.
