Our recent itinerary included three visits to local wineries and a special treat at the Pechanga Resort and Spa.
We started the day at Old Town with it’s historical buildings, art galleries, boutique shopping, old west charm and of course, wine tastings.
From Old Town it is an easy drive to the over 40 wineries in the area. Many offer wine tastings and tours and culinary dining.
On the De Portola Wine Trail each winery on the trail is owned and operated by a family in the picturesque valley.
On our recent trip we visited three wineries on the De Portola Wine Trail.
First stop was Fazeli Cellars where we enjoyed a wine tasting and lunch.

Then we took a short drive to Gershon Bachus Vintners and enjoyed a relaxing tasting with Dakota, the wine maker.

Finally we arrived a Leoness Cellars with it’s busy wine tasting bar and restaurant. We took an informative tour around the grounds with JP Ruyle who led us through the tasting room, to the vineyards and the Barrel Room.

After our winery visits we made our way to the nearby Pechanga Resort and Casino which is the largest Casino in the entire western USA.
Pechanga has 9 award winning restaurants, extensive nightlife entertainment, AAA Four Diamond Award, a Top 30 golf course, Wine tour packages, Comedy Club and First class accommodations.
On this visit to Temecula we experienced the luxury of the expansive Spa at Pechanga and relaxed in the opulent couple’s massage room with Champagne and truffles.
