Spend the day at the USS Midway Museum San Diego California

Voted Travelers Choice Tripadvisor #1 Thing to Do in San Diego and #1 Museum in San Diego.

“Live the Adventure, Honor the Legend”

This is a unique opportunity to experience life at sea for 225,000 sailors who served on the USS Midway.

Enter the museum through the Hanger Deck and pick up an audio guide. From the Hanger Deck you can go down to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th decks or up to the Flight Deck.

Walk through one of America’s longest serving aircraft carriers at your own pace and view over 60 exhibits and 29 resorted aircraft.

Some of the helicopters allow visitors to climb inside.

Tour the Laundry, Chapel, Mess Hall, Chow Line, Sick Bay, the Hanger Deck and the Flight Deck.

You can also take a guided tour of the captain’s bridge and control tower which is very popular so you need to stand in line and you will be taken into the cramped quarters in small groups. This involves climbing ladders. This tour is GREAT and not to be missed. Thank you to Ron Hartinger for a great tour.
