The lobby has the feel of an inviting boutique hotel – elegant and welcoming.
The location is perfect, close to the beach, the Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade and within easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The hotel also offers beach access with chairs.
What really stands out at the JW Marriott Santa Monica is the staff. We were always greeted with a smile. Everyone from the front desk to the bartender, the room service team and the bell staff were all very friendly and most eager to make your stay the best. Most notably Deepak at check in, Tano the bell hop, Andrea and Yasmin in Food & Beverage and Cara and Kaila our waitresses did a great job taking care of us.
Deepak was our first contact at the hotel during check-in and he carefully explained all the special features of the hotel and the amenities and how to access the beach. He gave us some bottled water and directed us to the top floor in a lovely quiet room overlooking the hotel pool and the beach. People genuinely love their jobs here and it shows with spot-on customer service.

Our room was very nice with great linens on the bed, a fridge, roomy desk and good size bathroom. The room was well lit and comfortable.
Breakfast is served in the elegant Cezanne restaurant.
Lunch, dinner and cocktails can be enjoyed at the Le Troquet Patio Lounge which is a lovely open seating area overlooking the hotel grounds, the beach and the ocean. In the lobby is a full bar and bar menu and right outside there are fire pits in the evening. This is a great place to enjoy a cocktail.
We were fortunate to be at the hotel for New Year’s Eve and reserved a table at Le Troquet for an evening sitting outside under the stars enjoying a five star dining experience prepared by Chef Juan Carlos Romero. We had a wonderful meal and loved the Sweet Dumpling Squash Soup, Grilled Bone-In Ribeye with Roasted Potatoes, Bacon and grilled Asparagus and for dessert Chocolate Beignets with an Eggnog Crème Anglaise Sauce.
The Spa Le Marigot is a full service spa offering everything from couple’s massage to body scrubs and a Spa’rty for groups of three or more which includes an event planner for your special occasion. For something new and different try the Cinnamon Chai Body Scrub and Mask.

If you are looking for a lovely hotel retreat with direct access to Santa Monica Pier’s Pacific Park and Third Street Promenade JW Marriott Santa Monica Le Merigot is perfect. With the good size pool area, beautiful full service spa and fitness center, excellent beach side location and extraordinary customer service it is a first class experience. We had a spectacular time.
