Dragons and Vines Inlaid Guitar Masterpieces at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix Arizona


An exhibit of beautiful collectible inlaid guitars is now showing at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix Arizona until September 4 2017.

“20th Anniversary Dragon” electric guitar made by PRS Guitars and inlay by Pearl Works 2005. Double neck guitar made to celebrate the 20th anniversary of PRS Guitars.

“25th Anniversary Dragon” electric guitar made by PRS Guitars and Pearl Works inlay 2010.

“30th Anniversary Dragon” electric guitar made by PRS Guitars and inlaid by Aulson Inlay 2015.

“Chanterelle” banjo inlay and maker is Erika Banjos 1982.

“China” synth-guitar Lampo Leong Chinese ink painting and Larry Robinson inlay and maker 1996.

D-45 “Peacock” guitar made by C.F. Martin & Co and inlaid by Larry Robinson 2000. This Martin’s 750,000th guitar.

D-100 Deluxe guitar made by C.F. Martin & Co and inlaid by Pearl Works 2004. This guitar was made to celebrate Martin’s one-millionth guitar using gold, copper, green tourmaline stones and shell.

“Dragon 2002” electric guitar made by PRS Guitars with Pearl Works inlay 2002.

“Edo” Guitar inlay and maker Harvey Leach 2016. Use of stone, wood, corian, Dichrolam and mother of pearl.

“Hot Rod” guitar made by C.F. Martin & Co and inlaid by Harvey Leach 2006.

“Joan Baez” 0-45 C.F. Martin & Co limited edition 1998 with inlaid signature.

“Predator” banjo made and inlaid by Renee Karnes 2007.

“Lindisfarne” guitar made by Kevin Ryan Guitars and inlaid by Larry Robinson 2009. The design is from the “incipit” page of the Book of Matthew in the medieval Lindisfarne Gospels manuscript (circa 700 CE).

“Tree of Life” Stratocaster electric guitar made by Fender Custom Shop with Pearl Works inlay 1995.

‘Ud Istanbul, Turkey 1900 made by Manolis Venios.

“Ukulele Lady” Style 5 ukulele made by C.F. Martin and Co 1927.
